CASHEW
TREE (CAJUEIRO) |
The
cashew tree is placed at Pirangi, it's considered the world's
biggest cashew tree because of its manner of growing up.
Among the mother tree and its children there is a true symbiosis
to survive, they help each other, because while growing
up the mother tree emits from its main stalk branches that
look for the soil like roots instead of rising. After passing
the soil they organize a root system with the objective
of feeding that new cashew tree which is being formed.
The tree measures 8.400 square meters, corresponding to
70 normal cashew trees.
The esteemed age for the mother tree is about 110 to 120
years of existence.

BARREIRA
DO INFERNO |
Initiated
in 1964, near Ponta Negra Beach, it occupies an area of
about 5 kilometers having around 30 buildings with a modern
architecture.
There
are ramps to launch many kinds of rockets, a sophisticated
meteorological station and another to launch research balloons.
There are also tracing and telemetry radar.
